DOGSLEDDING IN GREENLAND -A true adventure dogsledding with Greenlandic hunters in the dramatic fjords and mountains of Scorsebysund, the largest fjord system in the world. This is the winter home to musk oxen, snowhares, arctic foxes, seals and polar bears. You値l travel past 2000 meter alpine peaks, great bird cliffs, giant glaciers and 80 meter icebergs frozen in the sea ice. Dressed in sealskin suit and boots you値l be snug and warm on your sled. Expect daytime temperatures in the -4ーC to -8ーC, excellent for fast sledding. You値l visit tiny hunter villages and pass remote trapping stations. Cross-country skiers can bring their skis and stretch out their legs along the way. We値l overnight at small huts where the guides will prepare a mix of local Greenlandic traditional foods (seal, walrus, etc) and European fare. We値l sleep in tents in warm arctic sleeping bags. No previous dogsledding or winter camping experience is required but you should be fit, adventurous and ready to embrace unusual experiences unlike anything you致e done before.
