KATANNILIK TREK -- Katannilik is Inuktituk for ‘place of the falls’, and Nunavut’s Katannilik Territorial Park extends over 1,400 km.

Our hike will cover the most beautiful section of the park, along the Soper River corridor. We’ll land with charter flight to Mount Joy. The area is true wilderness, with rushing water, huge granite mountains and magnificent scenery.

Trekking along the Soper River, we’ll be on the lookout for caribou, fox and raptors such as eagles and hawks.

Our route takes us approximately 60 km, finishing in the town of Kimmirut, where we will enjoy a ‘traditional’ country meal with a local family.
