PETAWAWA
RIVER --
Many people are unaware that Algonquin Park contains a famous
whitewater river - the Petawawa.
Flowing eastward
across the more remote top of the park, the Petawawa combines
Algonquin wilderness and a challenging whitewater experience.
Our
canoe trip is a fun 50 km, 4 day run from Traverse Lake down
to McManus Lake. The earlier trip will find exciting high water. August
paddlers will enjoy a more relaxed river with warm water and
lazy summer days.
If you have some
whitewater experience then either choice is a chance for you
to enjoy an Algonquin wilderness getaway with a group of like
minded paddlers.
