KOOTENAY RIVER -- British Columbia’s Kootenay is a mountainous river run starting in Kootenay National Park, near the continental divide. Nipika EcoLodge, our base for this trip, is nestled in this wilderness, with the river flowing past.

The Kootenay is a great class I-II run, with excellent mountain scenery, facinating natural features and fun whitewater, suitable for everyone. We paddle SOAR inflatable canoes that are stable, forgiving and fun. Our first and last nights are at the lodge and we will camp for two nights on the Kootenay River.
