Nahanni River Canoe Trips

About Nahanni River Trips
The
South Nahanni
River is Canada’s
premier wilderness river. It runs through Canada’s
deepest river canyons, over Canada’s greatest
waterfall, past a vast mountainous wilderness, unusual
landforms and surprising wildlife - and it flows
through the legends of headless prospectors and lost
adventurers.
The Nahanni was established in 1974 as a National
Park Reserve. It has been recognized as a Canadian
Heritage River and designated as one of the first
World Heritage Sites of global significance by UNESCO.
It flows over 500 km from its headwaters high in
the Mackenzie Mountains, dropping over 4,000 vertical
feet in swifts, rapids and waterfalls. It is home
to caribou, bison, grizzly and black bear, Dall’s
sheep and moose. Paddling
the Nahanni is the adventure
of a lifetime.
Black Feather offers 6 types of Nahanni
River Canoe trips:
