FRENCH RIVER -- The historic French River is an excellent introduction to river canoeing, wilderness camping and even a little whitewater.

We’ll follow the route of the Voyageurs through easy rapids, camp on great shelves of rock by the river shore, enjoy diving rocks and swimming down swifts in the warm water. Our 4 day canoe trip starts at Wolseley Bay where we’ll begin with a short canoe lesson. Then we load up and paddle the short distance to the start of the river and our first fast water.

The pace is relaxed so we can play in the rapids, swim on hot days whenever we want, fish in the rapid’s out wash or take pictures. The sunsets are stunning. The meals are a treat. You’ll return from the French River refreshed and renewed.
