Blachford Lodge - Aurora or the Midnight Sun

Enjoy a unique six day holiday at the remote wilderness lodge in the Northwest Territories that hosted Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, last summer. There are two dates - each with a different flavour. In June we’ll experience 24 sunlight and the spring wildflowers. The late August trip is timed to catch the first appearances of the Territory’s spectacular Aurora while still being warm enough to enjoy a full range of outdoor summer activities during the day. Stay in comfortable guest rooms in the main lodge. Gourmet Northern meals are prepared by a Red Seal certified chef. The 17 km Blachford Lake is great for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. There are hiking trails, a sauna, hot tub, outdoor gear, and boats, rods and reels for fishing. The charter flight to and from the lodge in a bush plane is one of the highlights.

You can stay busy all day or relax and charge your batteries on this unique wilderness getaway. No previous experience is required to take part in all aspects of this adventure.
